RIDGE RIG — Free Off-road Car Balance & Physics Game

Drive an off-road rig over sixty handcrafted stages in six worlds. Balance real suspension across hills, rope bridges, seesaws, springs, moving platforms, magnetic fields and low gravity. Four unlockable rigs, campaign medals, no-checkpoint challenges and free practice. Desktop uses two keys; phones and tablets use two landscape pedals. Progress and safe checkpoints stay on this device; sound starts off.

Platforms & play modes

desktop, tablet, mobile. Single-player game. No human multiplayer.

Controls

Right / D accelerates; Left / A brakes first and reverses after stopping. In the air, right tips the nose down and left raises it. R retries the safe checkpoint, P/Esc pauses, M toggles sound. Phones/tablets use landscape with a left brake/reverse pedal and right throttle pedal. Multi-touch cancellation, focus/background and rotation clear held inputs; portrait pauses. Gameplay uses local 2D rigid-body suspension and deterministic terrain/mechanisms. Sixty stages in six chapters; four vehicles unlock at 0/10/20/30 campaign clears. Campaign medals and no-checkpoint challenges use the starter Lynx; alternate rigs are for practice with separate records. Three independent medals: finish, no retries, target time. Checkpoint retries retain cumulative time/retry count; refreshing resumes a stable checkpoint and counts as a retry. IndexedDB stores unlocks, medals, personal records and safe checkpoint state; no cloud save, account, gameplay API or online multiplayer. Every load starts muted and language follows portal URL only. Separate game-document statistics and Cloudflare analytics do not gate gameplay.

How do I keep the rig upright?

Feather the throttle, brake before crests and use the same two keys to adjust pitch in the air. Brief roof scrapes can be recovered; sustained roof contact, deep water and falling off the trail fail the attempt.

Are stages random?

The sixty main stages have fixed layouts and repeatable mechanisms so retries are learnable. Six worlds introduce different surfaces and physical obstacles.

What happens when I retry or refresh?

Retry rebuilds a safe checkpoint and its mechanisms, retaining total time and retry count. Refresh restores the saved checkpoint and counts as another retry; records and unlocks remain local.

Free to play. No downloads or sign-up. Sound starts off; enable it manually.
